Flydubai announced yesterday that its passengers who booked to travel between September 1 and November 30, 2020 will automatically receive free global medical coverage against the emerging virus "Corona" (Covid 19), to join Emirates Airlines, which was the first world's airline in providing Free Coverage for its passengers which includes the costs of medical treatment and quarantine related to (Covid 19) when they travel on the airline's flights to and from the UAE and around the world.
The new service announced by flydubai covers travelers' health expenses and quarantine costs if they are diagnosed (Covid 19) during their trip, and is valid for 31 days and starts from the moment they board the first flight within of your travel schedule between September 1 and November 30. 2020, and the service allows travelers to benefit from covering their medical expenses up to a maximum of 150,000 euros and quarantine costs up to 100 euros per day for 14 days.
Hamad Obaidullah, commercial director of flydubai, said: “The safety of our passengers and our crew remains our top priority, as this insurance coverage against (Covid 19) will encourage customers to travel in comfort and peace, knowing that they will be cared for every step of your journey. We see that travel demand has started to increase with more countries gradually lifting restrictions on international aviation. "
He added that taking more precautions and improving measures would help increase demand and stimulate the flow of trade and tourism around the world.
This new flydubai service is valid for all reservations made through flydubai.com, the flydubai mobile application, the flydubai customer service center, travel shops, or through the "Holidays from flydubai" platform, travel agents or any of the Travel Partners that work with flydubai. The flydubai insurance coverage service, operated by NextCare, provides assistance to travelers 24 hours a day, and flydubai has also redesigned the journey of its passengers to allow travel in a safe environment that reduces the contact of the crew and the passengers. Passengers should ensure that they follow the regulations issued by the IATA IATA Travel Center throughout their trip and follow the instructions issued by the authorities and the airline.
Previously, Emirates Airlines launched a free insurance coverage service for its travelers, which includes the costs of medical treatment and quarantine related to (Covid 19) when they travel on the airline's flights to and from the UAE and around the world. The initiative allows Emirates Airline customers to travel this summer with complete confidence, with the possibility of claiming reimbursement of their medical expenses up to 150,000 euros and quarantine costs of 100 euros per day for 14 days, should they be diagnosed. Flydubai's move comes a day later and Emirates Airlines announced the reactivation of its strategic and successful partnership to provide its customers with more opportunities to travel with flexibility and ease.
